2019 - October to December
This quarter’s lovely cover image depicts Saharan snow and was painted for us by talented local artist Marina Pruce. Marina’s painting was inspired by a rare occurrence of snow that fell in January 2018 in the North Algerian region of the Sahara Desert, and by the strength and courage of women she met in Africa. Like Marina, the Kaleidoscope writers have been busy working on their topics of choice, and articles on Barbados, the Battle of Trafalgar, Quadrilles, the USA and rugby all feature below. Looking forward to 2020, our fitness guru George is on hand to help you keep in shape, while Afy offers advice on how not to overspend at Christmas in the future.
