2018 - April to June

Anyone who wanted a crash course in some of the key flash points of the history of black people in post-war Britain would do well to take a peek at the news cycle in the UK over the past few weeks. With the Windrush Crisis, the 25th anniversary of the death of Steven Lawrence and the marriage of Prince Harry to the biracial Meghan Markle, the past few weeks has presented an interesting opportunity to reflect on the history of Black people in post-war Britain and whether these recent events are a marker of social progress for Black Britons that some have portrayed them to be.
